Making Easter baskets is a parenting role I didn’t realize I’d love so much. I love the Easter basket, kinda like I love the Christmas stocking. Because it’s not about doing something big or elaborate but more about fun little gifts. I try to focus on a mix of things from outdoor goodies, something to read, something arts related, and then usually 3-4 things they need (like maybe a new pair of sneakers for spring, an umbrella, new markers, PJs, etc. )
Here are some of my best picks for Easter Basket Fillers for 2023, broken down into some of my best categories for when it comes to creating a well-rounded Easter basket.
Easter Basket Ideas…To Read
I do love a good Easter book, but they aren’t always as evergreen, so I often look for books about spring, involving bunnies, or maybe about morals or kindness.
Easter Basket Ideas…To Wear
I love including clothing or new spring shoes in the Easter basket because, heck…it’s something they need. I usually do a new pair of sneakers for my kids and they always get so excited over it!
Easter Basket Ideas…For Bathtime
I find bath toys are the one thing I really need to keep changing up to prevent boredom (aka my kids just splashing each other the entire time). So I take advantage of all holidays (Easter, Christmas, Birthdays) to throw in some new fun, toys. Below are a few of our favs.
Easter Basket Ideas…Arts and Music
Growing up our Easter baskets always had some type of arts and crafts. It was a fun activity to do later that day. I also like incorporating in music items, too, where it makes sense!
Easter Basket Ideas…For Outside Play
Since Easter means Spring is right around the corner (or already here depending on where you live), it’s a great time to include some new outside toys.
