As we get into the holiday season I love to remind people to take a picture of the mess of Christmas morning. My first few Christmas mornings as a mom the mess stressed me out. Now i look back at it and smile. Don't wait for those perfect little moments to take the picture- capture it all ❤️

At my postpartum appointment I said "this has been my easiest postpartum by far."Sure, having a newborn with a 1, 3, and 5 year old isn't exactly a walk in the park. But I've taken some big lessons I learned the first few times around which has just made the whole experience A LOT easier. I'm not sure if these are just lessons you gotta learn on your own, but I hope something resonate with someone out there ❤️ so many of us have been exactly where you are.(And yes. I meant "breastFEEDING on that last slide 🫠)

I once heard an interview with Jacques Pépin and he said that as a chef you don't do all the cutting and prepping - when it's time to cook you have that part already done for you by your sous-chef. "So let the grocery store be your sous-chef," he said.And I think about that interview a lot 😅 I used to avoid precut and pre-done because I always figured why spend the extra money when I can do it myself? But when I heard it put this way it just stuck with me. I'm a busy woman, so why not outsource to a "sous-chef" yah know? Plus, if it's good enough for Jacques, it's good enough for me. Tonight we're having chicken tortilla soup and I didn't shred any chicken or chop and veggies 🤌🏻
