Ever since they put in an Ulta within a 10 minute drive from my house, I’ve been an avid shopping. They have a killer reward program, offer high-end and drugstore options, and run amazing sales. Today I’m sharing some of my best tricks for saving money next time you are shopping at Ulta Beauty!
Ulta Coupons
Ulta typically has two, either the $3.50 off $10 or the more elusive 20% off. The quickest way to check is there is always a coupon on the Retail me Not app that you can pull up on your phone and use in stores or online. While you can find the coupon on Ulta as well, I typically find my Retail me Not app to be the quickest. Ulta will only accept one Ulta coupon at a time, so pick the one that’ll give you the most bang for your buck.
Manufacturer’s Coupons
On the topic of coupons, don’t forget your manufacturer’s coupons. Yep, Ulta accepts them. And, while you can’t use TWO Ulta coupons at once you CAN use one Ulta Coupon + One Manufacturer’s coupon in one transaction.
Ask the employees.
Most Ulta’s do inventory a few times a year and afterward their clearance is FULL. By knowing when the are doing the inventory you can get the goods before they’ve been totally picked over!
Get Free Gifts
The free gift program at Ulta is the best little freebie there is. It’s like someone saying “with your coffee order today you also get a free puppy.” The way it works is if you buy so much from a certain brand you get something for free! Now, most free gifts are advertised around the store and you can find them hanging by the price tags, but not ALL are listed in store, so make sure you check the Free Gift With Purchase page on their website.
Get down with the 21 days of beauty deals
They run it about a few times a year where every day for 21 days there are awesome deals that each last only one day. Their next one actually starts in just a few days on Sept 4th. In case you need more convincing, here are some of the deals they are running in this upcoming one: Lorac blushes for $11, usually $22. It Cosmetics Bottom Lash Mascara (one of my faves) usually $24, only $12, Smashbox Kohl Eyeliner usually $21 on sale for $10 and a Stila contour duo, usually $40 on sale for $20.
Make sure you’re part of their rewards program
It’s seriously one of the best reward programs out there. For every dollar you spend, you get points. Points add up to dollars you can spend on anything you want. I hoard mine for months at a time then go for a shopping spree and end up having to pay $2.
Look for point multipliers
If you’re really into racking up the points watch out for their salon deals. Sometimes they offer up to 5x your rewards on haircuts or blow-outs. Get your hair done and get 5 times the rewards. Um, yea, ok, I dig it. They also offer these multipliers on the purchasing of certain brands, so keep your eyes peeled. It’s safest to just make sure you’re checking the emails Ulta sends you- all the best info is in there.
Return away!
There is nothing worse than buying a makeup product and hating it or realizing you got the wrong color. Ulta has a great return policy allowing you to return something up to 60 days after purchase even if you’ve opened or used it!
Ok friends, those are my best Ulta hacks! I hope you found these helpful and useful and can use them to save you some money next time you’re at Ulta!
