Happy Fourth of July y’all! Don’t ask me where my sudden southern drawl came from, I guess I’m feeling very American. We had a July 4th Eve BBQ last night and I whipped up a Red, Wine and Blue Sangria that I thought I’d share with you. I LOVE sangria for parties because you can make a huge batch, plus you can do so many different varieties- like out my Watermelon Sangria.
Red, Wine and Blue Sangria
Ingredients: 1 (750 mL) bottle of white wine (I used Pinot Grigo), 1 cup juice (this is up to you. I usually like white grape or a white cranberry), 1/2 cup of Grand Marnier OR Brandy, strawberries and blueberries.
1. In a large picture combine the wine, juice, Grand Marnier/brandy.
2. Add in fruit. Allow this mixture to sit for at least 4 hours.
3. Serve over ice and garnish with extra fruit for the red, wine, and blue look!
Enjoy with good friends, good music, and (if available) sunshine!
I hope you’re all having a lovely, and safe, Fourth of July – for those of you in The States.
