I’m staring with freshly washed hair. I used the John Frieda Beach Blonde Cool Dip shampoo (OMG you guys, this smells like a mojito and I’m obsessed), and followed it up with the John Frieda Beach Blonde Smooth Seas conditioner. This shampoo is extremely clarifying so it is perfect to prep your hair for texturized beachy hair and the conditioner is designed to help detangle and add some softness. These have “beach blonde” in their name, but they’re not just for the blondes (us brunettes get to have some fun, too!)
I used a wide-toothed comb to brush through my towel-dried hair. At this point I suggest you work a little of your favorite hair oil through your hair as well to help combat any frizziness and to nourish your hair.
Taking the Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray I’m going to spray this all through my hair from about my ears down. A good sea salt spray is the key to that beachy hair look, and if you find one that works as great as this John Frieda one, then it really will be effortless.
Next I’m taking small sections of hair and just twisting them into “ropes.” This will help define the texture as my hair dries. I’m going to let my hair naturally dry, retwisting the “ropes” a few times throughout the drying process.
Once the hair is completely dry, you can loosely shake out the twists and you’re left with perfectly undone, tousled hair. This is my hair completely hair dried without any touching up! I plugged in my curling wand thinking I might have to touch up a few of the front pieces, but I didn’t even have to use it! I’m amazed at how simple it was to create these beachy waves! Hello new favorite lazy hair day routine!
These Beach Blonde hair products are available at your local Target, if you’re interested in creating effortless waves all summer long (like I totally am!)
