Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends!
In the time between now and my last wedding posts we’ve pretty much done zero planning. Our wedding is definitely more of a low key wedding, so there is less to plan, in general. We’re also still 8 months away, so we gots nuttin’ but time! (right…? Right??)
Here’s a look at what wedding planning has been looking like for me.
No, but really.
Seriously, the time consumed looking at dresses I’m never going to buy is actually outstanding.
The only real steps forward I’ve made is with bridesmaids dresses. I knew I wanted my girls in mismatching dresses (both in color and style). It took some thinking and talking with them to decide how to pull it off in a way where they still would look cohesive together as a group.
This is what I came up with.
Each of the girls were given a color swatch along with a list of criteria (such as must be cotton, chiffon, or a polyester blend, no jewels, cocktail length, etc.) The rules will help the girls end up with dresses that look good together, but allow them to shop around and find dresses that fit them (and their price range.)
I was able to choose colors that would look good on each girl as well. And, I’m putting my Maid of Honor in a print within the color scheme, which I think is such a fun way to let the MOH stand out a little.
But that about does it in wedding land around these parts. Next up: save the dates!
