Build 'em up before they head out the door✨Listen it's not a sure fire solution to a perfect morning BUT it ends the morning routine on a postive note. Personally, I find morning routines can sometimes feel like kids vs parents as we ask them to PLEASE PUT ON YOUR DANG SHOES 100x. And IDK about you but sometimes they are out the door and to school and I look back at the morning and think "mmm that wasn't my best work..." And then, of course, guilt waves over me, thinking of them at school and wishing I had been more patient. (Anyone else?) I love this little hack because even if the morning wasn't perfect, it ends our morning routine on a high note. It sends them off with love, with their confidence cup filled up, and my mom guilt low.

Life lately✨ 2 weeks of Opal and we're all just sooo smitten. My PP hormones really wanna write something sappy about how I look at their little faces everyday and just can't believe this is my life -but I'll spare you (for now)

The "please go be quiet" basket is my favorite thing I created before baby 4 came.It's a basket I keep in an easy to access area. When I need some help (like when the big kids get home from school amped up, or it's the pre-bedtime crazy time), I can go in and grab an activity. You can also find my "please go be quiet basket" link on my Amazon storefront.Does it actually keep them "quiet?" Not necessarily quiet, but it keeps them from asking me 100 questions or asking for snack 100 times, so basically the same as quiet.This is also a grown up basket only. The kids don't get to go in and choose things cause that would be madness. I grab from here on my own and set out the activity. Why I love it is because in the moment it's no work. I can just notice I need an activity to redirect my kids attention and I have a basket specifically with easy activities they can do with very little adult help (this is key, we don't want parent-involved activities or crafts in the go be quiet basket)
